Welcome to Chumbaka! You are embarking on a Fearless Heart journey!
In Chumbaka we envision that “all children will have the right skill sets and values to navigate the changing future”. But how do we describe the child who embodies this vision?
A Fearless Heart describes a child who thrives on challenges. She knows the future will continue to throw challenges at her and the skillsets she has acquired - the ability to communicate, think, and collaborate - are the basic tools required to face these challenges.
The challenges are like adventures to her - unpredictable, tough but rewarding. She is brave as she knows she is equipped with the right tools. She has a sense of curiosity about what will emerge from the journey as she knows it has always proven to be more important than the outcome.
She also knows the challenges she takes on will further strengthen her skill sets and hence help her level up to bigger challenges in the future.
She is not only fearless in dealing with challenges but she is guided by her heart - having empathy and compassion for others. She pulls others up in her journey, always wanting to give back what she has achieved.
She knows success for herself is meaningless and unsustainable if the rest are left behind.
And all children under the wings of Chumbaka are nurtured to be a Fearless Heart. We have the calibre mentors, the forefront curriculum, and the technology platform to enable that to happen. The journey will not be easy, but we strive to provide the support required for every child's growth.
