Synopsis

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of 2D bitmap animation

Technical objective: Piskel is a free and open-source web-based software used for creating pixel art and animations. You will learn how to draw individual frames and combine them into animated sprites which you can then export as GIFs.

Life skills objective: Creating GIF animations is fun, but it is also time-consuming. This helps you develop grit and the ability to focus on the task. The sprites created in Piskel can also be used in various game engines or other applications.
